Miguel Otero was born on  December 1st, 1967 to Milagros Otero and Angelo Otero Estela.  Miguel resided with his family during his childhood years and later moved to a group home which is now under the auspices of QSAC (Quality Services for the Autistic Community).   Miguel was fortunate to have loving and caring people in his life who advocated and ensured his safety and well being at all times.  Though he was non-verbal and unable to express his gratitude, you can often see his pleasure and thankfulness in his smiles and gestures.  Miguel had a love for construction vehicles, especially the big yellow diggers and fire  trucks.  During his leisure time, Miguel could  be seen admiring his miniature versions and at times would carry around with him as they were his prized possessions.  Miguel also enjoyed bowling, the movies, going away on vacation and visits from his family.
